Journeyman Plumber
Position Summary
The Full-Time Journeyman Plumber performs plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance work on residential and commercial construction and service projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is punctual, reliable, and consistent in showing up prepared and on time each day.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including water distribution, drainage, gas piping, and water heaters.
- Diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure all work meets project specifications.
- Operate company tools, vehicles, and equipment safely while keeping a clean, organized jobsite.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Plumbing Certificate (Wichita Metro Area Building & Construction Dept.).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of professional plumbing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and construction documents.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in trenches, crawlspaces, attics, and active construction environments.
- Reliability and attendance are critical.
Experience & Technical Skills
Experience on new construction, remodeling, and service plumbing projects. Experience operating construction equipment (backhoes, skid steers) and driving company vehicles is a plus.
